Clinic invoicing software: common questions
Can I invoice private health insurers?
Yes. Record the insurer's authorisation (sessions approved), then raise an invoice referencing the authorisation number and CCSD procedure codes. Atlacare tracks sessions used against those authorised so you don't over-treat an approval.
Does it handle a patient's excess?
Yes. You can split billing between the insurer-paid portion and the patient's excess or shortfall, so both sides are clear and tracked separately.
Can I take card payments online?
Online card payment through invoices arrives with our Stripe integration. Today you raise and send invoices and record payments as they come in; everything else about invoicing works now.
Is invoicing included in the free plan?
You can create and manage invoices from the Free plan (one practitioner, 20 patients, no card). Paid plans add unlimited patients, the portal and, soon, online payments.
Do I still need separate accounting software?
Atlacare handles clinic invoicing and gives you CSV export for your accountant or bookkeeping tool. A dedicated accounting integration (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage) is on the roadmap.
