Migration

Switch from Jane to Atlacare

Bring your patient list across from Jane (Jane App) to Atlacare — the import wizard maps Jane's columns for you and keeps your consent trail intact.

Switching from Jane (Jane App) to Atlacare is a two-step move: export a CSV from Jane, then run Atlacare's import wizard using its Jane preset. Here's how.

1. Export your patients from Jane

In Jane, export your patient list to a CSV file. Save it somewhere easy to find. If you want to carry across more than the basics, export any additional lists Jane offers as CSV too.

2. Import into Atlacare

In Atlacare, open Settings → Data → Import and choose Jane as the source. The wizard uses a Jane preset, so it recognises Jane's column names and maps them to the matching Atlacare fields automatically. You get a chance to review the mapping before anything is written.

The import processes in batches with a progress bar, so even a long list imports reliably. Atlacare never creates duplicates silently — any record that looks like a match is surfaced for you to confirm.

3. Consent and practitioners

Patients imported from Jane are recorded with offline consent — consent you already captured in Jane, rather than in Atlacare — so your UK GDPR lawful-basis trail is preserved. The wizard also matches practitioner names from your Jane export to the practitioners in your Atlacare account, so records attach to the right clinician.

A note on plan limits

The Free plan holds up to 20 patients. If your Jane list is bigger, move to a paid plan first so nothing is left behind.
