Frequently asked questions
Is Atlacare built around outcome measures?
Partly. COPM scores, level of independence and intervention goals are recorded in every OT note, and the built-in DASH questionnaire is scored and trended across an intervention. Other measures, such as the Barthel Index, are not built in, so record those scores in the note.
Can I produce home-assessment reports?
Yes, in the note. Record the environment assessment and equipment or adaptations, write the report in the plan section, and print the note as a PDF. EHCP input works the same way. There are no separate letter templates.
Does it use OT language?
Yes. Notes are structured around goals and interventions in the language occupational therapists use, rather than a treatment template designed for a different profession. Formats are configurable so a mixed team can each work their own way.
How is client data protected?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access, an audit trail of key actions and nightly backups. It is treated as special-category data under UK GDPR, with consent tracking and retention rules. The clinic owner can download client data as a CSV at any time.
Can I migrate from another system?
Yes. Atlacare imports clients from Cliniko, Jane, WriteUpp, Carepatron and Pabau, matching your practitioners for you. The import wizard is guided and self-serve, and we can help you with the switch.
