What this policy covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Atlacare uses on its websites and services, what they do, and how you control them.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as localStorage — store information in your browser in the same way, and we treat them under the same rules.
Necessary cookies
These are always active and cannot be switched off, because the service cannot function without them.

Analytics — only with your consent
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how people use our site. It is optional. The Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you accept it, and you can change your mind at any time.

The two sign-up attribution entries are stored in your browser only after you accept analytics. They are not sent anywhere unless you click a sign-up link.
Where analytics run
Analytics run only on our public marketing website (atlacare.com).
Analytics never run on clinics' online booking pages, in the patient portal, in the clinic dashboard or in the admin area. Those pages can relate to an identifiable patient, and that information is health data protected under Article 9 of the UK GDPR. It is never sent to Google or to any analytics provider. Booking pages and the patient portal store nothing that needs your consent, so they do not show a cookie banner.
How we protect identifiers
Before a page view is sent to Google, we remove anything in the web address that could identify a record or a person (such as record references, query strings and email addresses). Google receives the shape of the page and never such a reference.
We also enable IP anonymisation, and we do not use analytics for advertising or to build profiles of individuals.
What this means in practice
- Nothing is requested from or sent to Google until you accept analytics.
- If you accept, Google receives general usage information about the pages you visit.
- Google does not receive your name, your clinical information, or a reference that identifies your individual records.
- If you decline, no analytics cookies are set, the analytics script is not loaded and nothing is sent.
Analytics retention
Google Analytics retention is controlled through the analytics property settings. We review those settings periodically and keep analytics data only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes described here.
How to manage your choices
You can change your analytics preference at any time. Use the Cookie Settings control on this page; otherwise, clear this site’s stored data in your browser and the consent banner will appear again so you can choose differently.
You can also control cookies directly in your browser settings, and clear stored site data there. Blocking necessary cookies will stop parts of the service working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Where we add a new technology that requires your consent, we will ask for it before using it.
