Frequently asked questions
Does Atlacare use DAP notes?
Yes. Psychology and therapy default to DAP notes, and the format is configurable per practitioner, so a team working across different modalities can each use the structure their approach expects. Notes autosave and lock with a version history for a defensible record.
Can clients complete PHQ-9 and GAD-7?
Yes, on paid plans. Both are in the forms library, so you can send them to a client to complete through the portal before a session. Scoring is not automatic yet, so record the total in your note.
Is supervision kept separate from client records?
There is no separate supervision log yet. You can record supervision hours in your CPD log, and keep reflective discussion out of the client's file so the record stays clean and appropriate to share when a lawful basis exists.
Does it support BACP counsellors and UKCP psychotherapists?
Yes. Counsellors and psychotherapists get the same DAP and BIRP notes, risk recording, consent capture and country-based retention, built around the BACP and UKCP frameworks.
How is client data protected?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access, an audit trail of key actions and nightly backups. It is treated as special-category data under UK GDPR, with consent tracking and retention rules. The clinic owner can download client data as a CSV at any time.
