Migration

Switch from Carepatron to Atlacare

Move your patient records from Carepatron to Atlacare — the import wizard recognises Carepatron's export and keeps your GDPR consent trail intact.

Moving from Carepatron to Atlacare is a two-step job: export a CSV from Carepatron, then run Atlacare's import wizard, which has a Carepatron preset built in.

1. Export your patients from Carepatron

In Carepatron, export your client list to a CSV file and save it somewhere you can find it. Export any additional lists you'd like to bring across as CSV too.

2. Import into Atlacare

In Atlacare, go to Settings → Data → Import and select Carepatron as the source. The wizard applies a Carepatron preset, so it recognises Carepatron's column headings and maps them onto Atlacare's fields for you. Review the mapping, then start the import.

Records import in batches with a live progress indicator, so a large list comes across reliably. Atlacare never creates duplicates silently — likely matches are surfaced for you to decide.

3. Consent and practitioners

Patients imported from Carepatron are marked with offline consent — recognising that consent was gathered in your previous system — so your UK GDPR consent record stays complete. The wizard also matches practitioner names from the export to the practitioners set up in Atlacare, so records attach to the right clinician.

A note on plan limits

On the Free plan you can hold up to 20 patients. If your Carepatron list is larger, upgrade before importing so every record transfers.

Importing is available to Owner and Manager roles. If you get stuck, use the Help button in the top bar and we'll help you finish.
