Setting up recalls

Flag a patient to come back for review, and track recalls from pending through to booked.

A recall is a reminder that a patient is due to come back — a six-month review, an annual check, a follow-up you agreed but didn't book on the day. It stops people quietly falling out of care.

Set a recall

From a patient's profile, set a recall with a due date and a reason ("6-month knee review", "annual assessment"). You can add one whenever you finish a course of treatment and know they should return later.

Track them

Recalls move through clear statuses so nothing gets lost:

  • Pending — due, not yet actioned.
  • Sent — you've contacted the patient.
  • Booked — they've got an appointment in the diary.
  • Dismissed — no longer needed.

Open the Recalls page to see everyone due, work through the list, and mark each one as you go.

Why it matters

Rebooking is the biggest single driver of a healthy practice — it's the largest slice of your Clinic Health score. Recalls turn "they said they'd come back" into a list you actually act on.

Recalls are for continuity of care, not marketing — keep them clinically relevant and they stay useful.
