AtlacareYou can add patients one at a time, or import your existing list in a few minutes.
Add one patient
Go to Patients → Add patient. Name and a contact detail are enough to start; you can add date of birth, address, GP, insurance and consent details later from the patient's profile.
A date of birth is worth adding early — it's needed before you can turn on patient portal access, and it helps keep siblings on the same email from being merged.
Import your list
Go to Settings → Data → Import and pick where you're coming from — Atlacare has purpose-built presets for Cliniko, Jane, WriteUpp, Carepatron and Pabau. Export your patients from your old system, drop the file in, and Atlacare recognises the columns for you.
The import:
- Maps columns automatically using the source preset, and lets you correct any it isn't sure about.
- Matches practitioners — "Dr S. Patel" and "Sarah Patel" end up as the same person.
- Never creates duplicates silently — it checks name, email and date of birth.
- Processes in batches with live progress, so a large list won't time out.
- Handles GDPR consent as records land (imported patients are recorded as offline/paper consent).
Plan limits
The Free plan holds up to 20 patients. If your import is larger, you'll be prompted to upgrade before it runs — nothing is imported past your limit without your say-so.
Coming from a system without a preset? Export to CSV and use the generic mapping — you'll match the columns yourself, and it works the same way.
