AtlacareDifferent professions document in different ways, so Atlacare doesn't force everyone into a physio's SOAP note. Your note format — the "shell" — is set from your profession, and drives which fields appear when you write a note.
The shells
- SOAP — Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan. The default for physiotherapy, osteopathy, sports therapy and most musculoskeletal work.
- DAP — Data, Assessment, Plan. Common in psychology and talking therapies.
- BIRP — Behaviour, Intervention, Response, Plan. Used in counselling and mental-health work.
- ADIME — Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, Monitoring, Evaluation. The dietetics standard.
Atlacare supports 17 professions, each with sensible defaults and its own profession-specific fields on top of the shell.
Set or change it
Each practitioner has their own profession and note shell, so a mixed clinic works correctly — the physio gets SOAP and the counsellor gets BIRP at the same practice.
You chose your profession during onboarding. To change it, go to Settings → Note templates, where you can see a preview of each shell and adjust the format for a practitioner. New notes then use the updated shell; existing notes keep the format they were written in.
Not sure which fits? Pick the closest — you can change it, and the shell is a starting structure, not a straitjacket.
